On the occasion of the 18 months of course of the MAREWIND project, was held by teleconference, the corresponding follow-up meeting, on the 22nd of June, with the participation of the whole consortium; likewise, on 23rd of June, it took place the first Review Meeting of the project, in which participated both the consortium and representatives of the European Commission to monitor the project.
The good participation of Tecnan, was well reflected showing its results about the adjustments and developments that it has been made during these months regarding the application methods of the anticorrosion and antifouling coatings. Two techniques are contemplated for this purpose, on one hand, the application by spray, which have been defined in its protocol and it has turned out to be a versatile technique that allows good control of the amount of coating deposited and thereby achieve the desired final thickness; and on the other hand, the application via dip- coating. Additionally, Tecnan has participated in the selection and optimization of the anticorrosion and antifouling formulations with major potential, helping to make this advancement fruitful.
As a general vision, all the partners have been working according to the proposal, showing all the advancements turning out to be very positive in all work packages, reflecting once again the effort made over these months.
The next meeting in which the consortium will participate again is planned to be face to face and it will take place at the final phase of the year.
