After the first year of execution of the European project SUSAAN, an online meeting of the 13 consortium partners took place on 25th May to update and share the progress made to date. In this sense, the partners discussed the first evaluation results of the antimicrobial effect of the developed active nanomaterials.
SUSAAN, a project funded by the Horizon Europe programme, aims to develop sustainable antiviral and antimicrobial nanocoatings in order to minimize the risk of spreading infections by harmful pathogens on different surfaces, such as metal, plastic or textiles.
In the coming months, and after knowing the first results of the active nanomaterials, activities on development for the new coatings will begin, tasks in which Tecnan will participate together with Lurederra.
