The ZEOCAT-3D project, funded by the Horizon 2020 European programme, and under the topic “Catalytic transformation of hydrocarbons” began in April 2019 and involves fifteen European partners from six different countries, where IDENER (Spain), is the coordinator.
The great experience that TECNAN owns in the manufacture and production of nanoproducts will make the company the ideal partner within the project for the large-scale manufacturing of nanoparticles developed and optimized by Lurederra Technology Centre.
Regarding the course of the project, the second meeting of the consortium recently took place in Los Arcos, more specifically in the facilities of the Lurederra Technology Centre, where the next steps to be followed were discussed and agreed in reference to the development of a bifunctional hierarchically structured zeolite based nano-catalyst using 3D technology for direct conversion of methane into aromatic hydrocarbons, thereby reducing the dependence on traditional fossil fuels.
