Almost reaching month 40 of the NANOSTACKS project, a follow-up meeting was organised on 04-05th October in TECNAN facilities. Project partners highlighted the new results obtained, but also partners carried out a review of the previous years of the project to have a better view for the definition of the activities for the final stage of the project. Special focus of the discussions included most recent activities in terms of i) different carrier materials for nanoparticle and organic molecules printing (LUREDERRA/KIT); ii) improvement on printing equipment and modification of printing parameters to fine tune properties of printed spots (KIT/TECNAN) iii) deposition of layers on top of each other (KIT) as well as iv) customised wafer production (KU LEUVEN/KIT) and v) conductivity measurements of first initial diodes and OLEDs (KU LEUVEN).
The project planning for the future included not only the validation of functionalities like diodes or capacitors, but also a plan of publications with several papers that will be submitted in a close future related to different project achievements.
Finally, all partners visited TECNAN facilities. A lab and pilot plant tour were completed, including some nanoparticle sample exchange and some printing experiments in the simplified LIFT setup developed within the project.
