TECNADIS SOLIDUS HIDRO is a hydrophobic consolidant, based on ethyl silicate and combined with hydro-repellent nanoparticles technology, designed for the restoration and protection of natural stone and other porous mineral materials. Monocomponent solution that, on the one hand, consolidates the materials, thanks to its penetrating power and, on the other hand, protects them from the action of water thanks to its hydrophobic/water-repellent property.
This consolidant is specific for stone materials and is fully compatible with TECNAN’s range of hydrophobic solutions based on nanoparticles. It was designed to be applied on all types of absorbent mineral materials, which degrade easily due to atmospheric agents.

- Thanks to its high penetrating power, the product reaches the healthy core of the material where it reacts with the ambient humidity and binds the material, thus consolidating the surface.

- It delays the appearance of external agents produced by humidity (algae, moss, mould, etc.).
- Thanks to the hydrophobic effect it protects and allows the consolidation process to continue even in adverse weather conditions, rain or accidental wetting of the treated surfaces.
- Total drying, without formation of sticky substances.
- Complete impregnation, non-film forming and with good water vapour permeability.
- UV-stable mineral binder, which cannot be attacked by atmospheric agents.
- There are no chromatic alterations in the treated material, nor whitening on the surface, after complete consolidation reaction.
How to use
- Surface preparation: Before application, surface must be completely clean and dry. It is recommended to apply it at a temperature between 10-25°C.
- Application: Shake the container vigorously. Apply the product by spraying at low pressure (0.5 bar maximum) or by immersion. The material must be completely saturated with the product to facilitate its penetration into the healthy nucleus of the material.
- Consolidation time: For optimal results, wait 4 weeks at room temperature of 20°C and a relative humidity of 40-50%.
